ART
One day, the scale of Mary van de Wiel’s work grew bigger, bolder and more impulsive. It kicked off with black house paint in Mexico, exploded floor to ceiling in New York and then in Sydney, burst across murals, gallery windows, textiles and home furnishing. She had her first successful exhibition in 2015.
Now back in Mexico, she tightly crops her large paintings for high-drama impact and prints a limited edition of archival giclée prints with a 5″/11cm white border on all sides. These works have inspired the designs for the entire VAN DE WIEL Collections of bags, area rugs, throws and more!
